In order to further strengthen permafrost research and cross-disciplinary integration, promote the exchange and cooperation of young scholars in permafrost research fields in various countries, and provide valuable experience and wisdom for the many problems and challenges in permafrost regions, the PYRN Executive Committee for 2022-2024 and the editorial department of “Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology” jointly initiated the “Permafrost Young Scholars Online Academic Exchange Forum” to be held online from July 2023, with monthly meetings.
